Add extra stability to your event setup with our 5 kg Backdrop Stabilising Weight Hire.

The compact dumbbell-style design fits neatly through the weighting pockets and rear supports found on many backdrop structures, helping reduce the risk of the backdrop tipping or falling forward. It can also be positioned securely against the base of suitable flat backdrops and freestanding event structures.

Unlike loose-fill sandbags, this solid weight cannot leak or spill sand, making it a clean and convenient option for indoor venues. Its integrated handle also makes it easier to carry, position and remove during setup and pack-down.

Ideal for:

• Backdrop weighting pockets and rear supports
• Solid and flat backdrop bases
• Arches and suitable event structures
• Indoor venues where loose sand is unsuitable
• Adding extra stability during setup

For outdoor setups, we recommend hiring at least two weights—one on each side of the structure—for increased stability. Additional ballast may be required depending on the backdrop, attachments, ground surface and weather conditions.

Please note: Weights reduce movement but do not guarantee that a structure will remain safe in windy conditions. Backdrops must not be used outdoors during strong winds, severe weather or whenever conditions become unsafe.

The hirer is responsible for correct placement, secure installation, ongoing supervision and safe lifting.
