Large Helium Tank Hire Sydney | E Size with Regulator ( up to 300 balloons)

Looking for large-capacity helium tank hire in Sydney for a party, school celebration, corporate event, fete or DIY balloon setup? Our Large E Size Helium Tank Hire is designed for larger balloon requirements and includes a professional balloon regulator with every hire.

Approximate Balloon Capacity

An E Size helium cylinder can inflate approximately:

Up to 300 × standard 30 cm latex balloons

Balloon quantities are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Actual capacity varies depending on balloon size, type, brand, shape, inflation level and helium wastage. Larger latex balloons, jumbo balloons, foil balloons, number and letter balloons, bubble balloons and specialty balloons require considerably more helium and will reduce the total number of balloons that can be inflated.

Do not plan your event on the assumption that the cylinder will provide more than its stated approximate capacity.

If your balloon requirements are close to the maximum capacity, you are using larger balloons, or you require additional capacity as a buffer, we strongly recommend arranging additional helium before your event.

Helium lost through over-inflation, incorrect inflation or releasing helium between balloons will also reduce the number of balloons you can inflate.

Responsible Hirer – 18+ Only

The responsible hirer must be 18 years of age or older.

Valid government-issued photo identification is required as part of the booking process and must be available for verification before the helium cylinder is released.

Refundable Security Bond

A $150 refundable security bond applies to Large E Size helium tank hire.

The bond is refunded following the safe, complete and timely return of the helium cylinder, regulator and all associated hire equipment.

Refunds are processed within 3–5 business days after the equipment has been returned and checked.

Deductions may apply for loss, damage, missing equipment or late-return charges. Where applicable charges exceed the security bond, the remaining amount is payable by the hirer.

Transport & Customer Responsibility

Helium cylinders are pressurised gas vessels and must be transported, handled and stored safely.

Customers collecting their cylinder are responsible for providing a safe and suitable vehicle and securing arrangement.

The cylinder must:

• Remain upright and be securely restrained during transport
• Be prevented from tipping, rolling, sliding, falling or moving
• Never be transported loose or unsupported
• Have the cylinder valve closed during transport
• Be transported with the regulator removed
• Be kept away from excessive heat and direct sunlight
• Never be left unattended in a hot vehicle
• Be transported with adequate ventilation

Customers must arrive with appropriate securing equipment suitable for their vehicle.

Cushions, pillows or blankets may be used as additional padding or support only and do not replace suitable restraint.

Piece Of Cake Events reserves the right to refuse release of the cylinder where the proposed transport arrangement is considered unsafe or unsuitable.

Helium Cylinder Trolley & Securing Straps

For easier handling and additional stability when moving and using the cylinder at your event, we strongly recommend adding our:

Helium Cylinder Trolley & Securing Straps Hire – $25

This is particularly recommended for schools, fetes, community events, outdoor events and busy event environments where the cylinder may be vulnerable to being knocked or bumped.

Add this option when booking or contact us prior to collection, subject to availability.

Ultra Hi-Float for Latex Balloons

For longer-lasting latex balloons, Ultra Hi-Float can be added when booking.

Hi-Float:

• Is suitable for latex balloons only
• Is not suitable for foil balloons
• Helps extend latex balloon float time
• Does not increase the amount of helium contained in the cylinder

Using Your Helium

Operating and safety instructions will be provided with your hire.

Please inflate carefully. Over-inflating balloons or allowing helium to escape between balloons can substantially reduce the number of balloons you are able to inflate.

Do not tamper with, modify or attempt to repair the cylinder, valve, regulator or fittings.

If any equipment appears damaged or does not operate correctly, stop using it and contact Piece Of Cake Events.

Need More Helium?

If you’re unsure whether one cylinder will be enough, allow additional capacity rather than relying on the maximum estimate.

If your requirements are close to 300 standard balloons, you are using larger balloons, or you want additional capacity as a buffer, please contact Piece Of Cake Events before your event so we can recommend an additional cylinder.

It is better to have sufficient helium available than to run out partway through your balloon setup.

Separate Checkout Required

Helium tank hire must currently be ordered separately from balloons, gifts and other products so that the correct hire, collection or delivery arrangements can be applied.

If you require additional products, please place a separate order.
