Our Event Nannies help keep children comfortable, entertained and appropriately supervised while parents and guardians enjoy the occasion, knowing their children’s individual needs have been considered.

This package provides up to 5 hours of Event Nanny care, subject to staffing availability, the number and ages of children, individual care requirements and confirmation of suitable supervision arrangements.

EXPERIENCED EVENT NANNIES & SPECIALIST CARE

Our Event Nanny team includes carers with a range of professional backgrounds, qualifications and childcare experience.

Depending on availability, our team may include experienced nannies, childcare workers, early childhood educators, midwives, infant care professionals, sleep consultants, university students undertaking relevant studies and carers experienced in supporting children with additional needs.

All allocated Event Nannies are required to hold a current, verified Working With Children Check appropriate to their role.

Individual qualifications and experience vary between team members.

We warmly welcome enquiries from families with children of different abilities, developmental stages and individual support needs, including autistic children, children with ADHD, sensory sensitivities, disabilities, accessibility requirements and other additional care considerations.

If your child would benefit from an Event Nanny with particular qualifications or specialist experience, please indicate this in your booking assessment.

We will make reasonable efforts to match suitable personnel to your requirements.

Specialist staffing is subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

Where particular qualifications or competencies are essential for safe care, suitable staffing arrangements must be confirmed before the booking can proceed.

CHILDREN UNDER 3 YEARS

Babies and toddlers may require additional hands-on care, including feeding, nappy changes, settling, sleep routines and closer supervision.

Please provide each child’s age at the time of the event, including their age in months where applicable.

The number of Event Nannies required will be assessed according to the children’s ages, individual needs and the nature of the event.

Additional personnel may be required to maintain appropriate supervision.

CHILD SAFETY & EMERGENCY PROCEDURES

The safety, wellbeing and appropriate supervision of children are central to our Event Nanny service.

Our team follows agreed care arrangements, authorised handover procedures and incident-reporting processes.

Event Nannies may provide appropriate emergency first aid or CPR within their training and competency and contact emergency services where necessary.

Routine medication administration is not included in our standard Event Nanny service. Any prescribed emergency treatment requirements must be discussed and assessed before confirmation.

Parents and guardians must remain contactable throughout the booking and provide two suitable emergency contacts.

Where a child requires medical attention, specialist assistance or care outside the agreed arrangements, the parent or authorised guardian may be required to resume responsibility.

EVENT ACTIVITIES & CHILD PARTICIPATION

Children can remain part of your celebration while receiving suitable care and supervision.

Our Event Nannies may assist with children’s involvement in:

• Presentations and formalities

• Age-appropriate event activities
• Meals and scheduled rest periods

Participation must be agreed in advance where appropriate and will depend on the child’s needs, the event schedule and safe supervision arrangements.

Where a parent or authorised adult temporarily takes responsibility for a child, the handover will be coordinated and recorded as appropriate.

COMPLIMENTARY LITTLE GUEST BUSY BAGS

Each child included in the confirmed booking receives one complimentary Little Guest Busy Bag containing a selection of age-appropriate activities.

Busy Bags are designed to help children stay engaged and entertained during suitable parts of the event.

Contents vary according to age, availability and individual suitability.

Additional activity packages and specialist entertainment are available separately.

OPTIONAL CHILDREN’S ENTERTAINMENT & KIDS’ CORNERS

Enhance your event with additional children’s activities and entertainment from Piece Of Cake Events.

Optional services may include:

• Face painting
• Arts and crafts sessions
• Guided creative activities
• Children’s games and entertainment
• Kids’ Corner and dedicated activity areas
• Children’s furniture and play equipment
• Themed activity stations
• Additional activity hosts and entertainment personnel

These services are not automatically included in the Event Nanny package and are quoted separately.

Additional staffing, materials, equipment, delivery, installation and collection charges may apply.

EVENT NANNY HOURS & EXTENSIONS

This package includes up to 5 hours of childcare during the confirmed booking period.

Our standard Event Nanny service hours are 6:30 am to 10:30 pm.

Care outside standard service hours is subject to availability and additional charges.

Requests for additional childcare hours must be assessed against staffing availability, employment conditions and the children’s care requirements.

Unplanned extensions are not guaranteed and require the allocated Event Nanny’s agreement.

Any approved additional hours, after-hours services, Sunday or public holiday rates will be charged according to the applicable quotation and Terms & Conditions.

Staff are entitled to appropriate rest and meal breaks in accordance with their applicable employment conditions. Suitable supervision and handover arrangements must be agreed where required.

Overnight childcare is not available.

TRAVEL, PARKING & VENUE ACCESS

Our Event Nanny team operates from Breakfast Point, Sydney.

Travel within 20km is included in the standard package.

For locations beyond 20km, additional travel is calculated at $3.00 per kilometre for the distance exceeding 20km in both directions.

Parking, tolls and other reasonable venue-related travel expenses are charged separately where applicable.

Please advise us of any loading restrictions, parking arrangements, security requirements, venue access procedures or other relevant information before confirmation.

Where childcare is required at multiple locations, each location and the proposed timing must be disclosed in advance.

Piece Of Cake Events does not transport children between venues or event locations. Parents or guardians must arrange suitable transportation and authorised handovers.

GROUP BOOKINGS & PAYMENT RESPONSIBILITY

Our Event Nanny packages are assessed according to the total number of children requiring care, their ages and individual supervision requirements.

We do not divide group childcare bookings into separate invoices or payments for individual children or families.

One nominated organiser is responsible for the booking and all applicable charges.

Families may privately share costs between themselves, but Piece Of Cake Events invoices the nominated booking contact.

PHOTOGRAPHY & FAMILY MEMORIES

With appropriate parent or guardian permission, our Event Nannies may capture occasional photographs or short videos of children participating in activities and enjoying the event.

Families may request that images remain private and be shared only with authorised parents or guardians.

Separate express permission is required before identifiable photographs or videos of children are used on the Piece Of Cake Events website, social media or promotional materials.

Photography is optional and will never take priority over childcare supervision.

For group bookings, each child’s parent or legal guardian must provide their own consent.

Can Event Nannies care for babies and toddlers?

Yes, subject to suitable staffing, experience, individual care requirements and confirmation of safe supervision arrangements.

Can I request a nanny with specialist qualifications?

Yes. Please tell us about your preferred qualifications or experience during the assessment. We will do our best to accommodate your request, subject to availability.

Will we know who is caring for our children?

Once staffing is confirmed, we can provide relevant information about the allocated carers and their experience and qualifications.

Can children participate in the event?

Yes. Care arrangements can be planned around children participating in suitable parts of the celebration, subject to supervision requirements and prior agreement.

What if my child becomes upset or needs me?

Our carers will respond sensitively and provide age-appropriate reassurance. If a child requires parental support, becomes unwell or needs assistance outside the agreed care arrangements, the nominated parent or guardian will be contacted.

Can we extend childcare on the day?

Extensions may be possible with the allocated Event Nanny’s agreement and are subject to availability, applicable charges and safe staffing arrangements.

Can you transport children between venues?

No. Transportation must be arranged by the child’s parent or guardian.

Can we request additional children’s entertainment?

Yes. Balloon twisting, face painting, creative activities, Kids’ Corners and other entertainment services can be quoted separately.

IMPORTANT BOOKING INFORMATION

All Event Nanny bookings are subject to availability, appropriate staffing assessments, individual care requirements, venue suitability and confirmation of final pricing.

Additional charges may apply for specialist staffing, additional hours, after-hours services, Sundays, public holidays, travel, parking, tolls and optional activities.
