Piece Of Cake Events provides flexible, practical event support before, during and after your celebration, giving you an experienced extra pair of hands exactly when you need them.

Think of us less like traditional service staff and more like that incredibly capable extra family member everyone wishes they had at a party. We can work quietly behind the scenes or blend naturally into your celebration, helping wherever needed without making your home or event feel overly formal.

Before Your Event

Sometimes the final few hours are when everything happens at once.

Book an Extra Set of Hands before your event to help with:

This is general event clean-up and reset assistance, rather than a professional deep-cleaning service. Dedicated post-event cleaning can be arranged separately where required.

Staffing & Pricing

Event Support is charged per team member, per hour, with a minimum booking of 2 hours.

As a general guide, we recommend approximately 1 team member per 15 guests where ongoing event support is required. The appropriate staffing level may vary depending on your event style, venue, guest numbers and the duties you would like us to perform.

Additional hours requested on the day are subject to staff availability and will be charged at the applicable rate.

Home Parties & Private Celebrations

This service is particularly suited to celebrations at home.

You may not want formal waitstaff. You may simply want another capable person who can see what needs doing, clear a plate, help a guest, run to the shops, keep the kitchen under control and quietly make life easier.

Our team can work naturally within your celebration while remaining professional, discreet and helpful.

We’re there when you need us and in the background when you don’t.

Elderly Guest Assistance

If an elderly guest or another guest would benefit from a little additional attention during your celebration, please let us know when booking.

Our team may assist with general non-medical support such as helping guests navigate the event space, finding seating, obtaining refreshments and providing general companionship or assistance during the event.

This service does not include nursing, medical care, personal care or specialist disability support. Where professional care is required, an appropriately qualified provider should be arranged.

What This Service Does Not Include

Extra Set of Hands provides general event assistance and support.

Unless separately booked or specifically agreed, this service does not include:

• Full event planning
• Professional on-the-day event coordination
• Full event styling or balloon installations
• Catering or food preparation
• Bartending or responsible service of alcohol
• Professional deep cleaning
• Dedicated childcare or Event Nanny services
• Nursing, medical or personal care
• Specialist trade or technical services

Many of these services are available separately through Piece Of Cake Events.

Important Event Information

Clients must provide accurate information at the time of booking, including the event location, event type, expected guest numbers, requested duties and relevant access information.

Please also tell us whether alcohol will be present or served at the event. Staff under 18 will not be assigned to roles involving alcohol and are not permitted to handle or serve alcohol.

Failure to provide accurate information may affect staffing arrangements, availability, pricing or the services we are able to provide.

Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

✓ Providing access to the event location at the agreed time
✓ Providing a safe and respectful working environment
✓ Providing suitable parking or access information where possible
✓ Providing ordinary household cleaning supplies/equipment where cleaning or tidying assistance is requested, unless otherwise arranged
✓ Advising us of relevant venue rules, access restrictions or special requirements before the event

Staff Presentation

Our team attends in clean, professional Piece Of Cake Events branded attire, unless another presentation style has been agreed prior to the event.

If your event has particular dress or presentation requirements, please let us know before booking and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Staff Safety & Conduct

Our team is committed to providing professional, respectful and helpful service.

A safe and respectful working environment must also be provided for our staff. Piece Of Cake Events reserves the right to cease services where staff are subjected to unsafe conditions, harassment, abuse, threats or inappropriate behaviour.

After-Hours & Additional Charges

Standard service applies during our usual service hours.

Late-night, after-hours, Sunday, public holiday, extended attendance, travel, parking, tolls or other applicable charges may apply depending on the booking.

Any applicable additional charges will be advised or invoiced where required.
