Whether you’re hosting an in-home party, birthday celebration, baby shower, private function or venue-based event , our team is there to take care of the details — so you can relax and enjoy your event without the stress.

What Our Event Support Staff Do 

Our team assists with a wide range of tasks throughout your event, including:

  • Clearing tables and collecting used items
  • Refilling drinks and assisting guests
  • Cutting and serving cake
  • Setting out and topping up food platters
  • Packing dishwashers and washing dishes
  • Wiping surfaces and maintaining presentation
  • Sweeping and light mopping as needed Managing spills and general tidiness
  •  Monitoring event areas (including children’s zones and hired items)
  • Taking rubbish out to general waste and recycling bins Assisting with guest needs and overall event flow Running small errands if required during the event

We work proactively and blend seamlessly into your event, ensuring everything is handled without needing direction.

🔹 Flexible Event Support – Homes & Venues Our Event Support service is designed for both home events and venue-based functions . While venues may provide staff for food service, our team focuses on the overall event experience — assisting guests, maintaining cleanliness, managing details and ensuring everything runs smoothly.

🔹 Staffing & Pricing Event Support is charged per staff member, per hour , with a minimum booking of 2 hours.

 

We recommend approximately 1 staff member per 15 guests to maintain a high level of service. Our standard service applies to events held between 7:00am and 10:00pm.

 Events extending beyond 10:00pm may incur an additional after-hours rate, which will be confirmed prior to your event. Additional hours requested during the event must be approved and paid to the on-site manager at the time of the event.

Important Event Information

 Clients must provide accurate event details at the time of booking, including guest numbers and event type. Clients must also clearly disclose if alcohol will be present or served at the event. Staff under the age of 18 cannot be assigned to events where alcohol is present or served, and are not permitted to handle alcohol under any circumstances. Failure to provide accurate information may impact staffing arrangements, pricing, or the level of service provided.

 Our Team Our Event Support team may include a mix of male and female staff, with the majority being female. If you require female-only staff , please include this request in the additional comments section at checkout and we will do our best to accommodate.

 Professional Presentation All staff attend in Piece Of Cake Events branded black shirts and black pants , maintaining a clean, polished and professional appearance. If you have specific dress requirements, please let us know prior to your event.

Service Area – Sydney & Surrounding Suburbs Our pricing includes travel within approximately 40km of Breakfast Point , including Sydney Inner West, Ryde, Concord, Drummoyne, Gladesville and surrounding suburbs. If your event is outside this area, please contact us to confirm availability and any additional travel fees.

Provide access to the event location at the agreed time.

Ensure a safe working environment for staff

Provide cleaning supplies and equipment unless otherwise arranged

Provide suitable parking or access where possible 

🔹 Staff Safety & Conduct

Our team is committed to providing a professional and respectful service at all times. Staff are not required to tolerate aggressive, inappropriate or unsafe behaviour from guests. If any staff member feels unsafe, threatened, or is treated inappropriately, Piece Of Cake Events reserves the right to leave the premises immediately .
