Our Wedding Day Nanny & Childcare Package provides personalised childcare from wedding preparations through to the ceremony and reception, allowing parents and family members to relax and enjoy the celebration while children remain safely included in the day.

CHILDCARE STAFFING & RATIOS

Every wedding and every group of children is different.

Staffing is allocated according to the number and ages of children attending, their individual care requirements and the level of supervision required throughout the wedding.

Babies and toddlers require a higher level of hands-on care. Mixed-age groups and children with additional medical, mobility, developmental, behavioural, sensory or other support requirements may also require additional Event Nannies.

Your booking form collects the exact ages and relevant care requirements of every child so the appropriate staffing can be determined.

Where the number, ages or individual care requirements of the children require additional staffing beyond the standard allocation included in your selected package, additional Event Nannies are charged at $110 per Event Nanny, per hour.

Any additional staffing requirements and associated costs will be confirmed after reviewing your booking information and before your booking is finalised.

STANDARD SERVICE HOURS & ADDITIONAL HOURS

Our standard Event Nanny service hours are 6:30 am–10:30 pm.

Care required before 6:30 am or after 10:30 pm is subject to staffing availability and is charged at an additional $110 per Event Nanny, per hour.

Your booking form will ask whether care is required outside our standard service hours and approximately how many additional hours are required.

Public holiday surcharges may also apply where applicable.

TRAVEL & PARKING

Event Nanny travel is calculated from our Breakfast Point, Sydney base.

Sydney Metro — from $100

Extended Sydney — from $150

Destination Weddings / Regional NSW — from $200

Travel charges are determined according to the wedding location, travel time, distance and staffing requirements.

Where childcare is required across multiple locations during the wedding day, additional travel charges may apply.

Parking fees, tolls and other venue-specific access costs are additional where applicable.

Your applicable travel charge will be confirmed after your wedding location and staffing requirements have been reviewed.

LUXURY KIDS’ CORNER & ACTIVITY ZONE

For couples wanting a complete dedicated children’s space, our Luxury Kids’ Corner & Activity Zone can be booked separately.

Designed to complement your wedding setting, our Kids’ Corner features a neutral, considered aesthetic and can include age-appropriate creative play, activities, games, books, construction play, quiet-time options, soft furnishings and children’s furniture.

The setup can be tailored according to the ages of the children attending, the venue space available and your selected package.

PRE-WEDDING MEET & GREET

Would you like your children to meet their Event Nanny before the wedding?

A Pre-Wedding Meet & Greet can be arranged separately, giving your family an opportunity to become familiar with their nanny and discuss routines, preferences and care requirements before the wedding day.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• This package includes up to 10 hours of childcare.

• Childcare can be booked for only part of the wedding day if preferred.

• Care outside our standard 6:30 am–10:30 pm service hours is charged at an additional $110 per Event Nanny, per hour and is subject to staffing availability.

• Additional Event Nannies required beyond the standard staffing allocation are charged at $110 per Event Nanny, per hour.

• Travel is calculated from Breakfast Point, Sydney, with indicative rates starting from $100 for Sydney Metro, $150 for Extended Sydney and $200 for Destination Weddings / Regional NSW.

• Parking, tolls and venue-specific access costs are additional where applicable.

• Public holiday surcharges may apply.

• Childcare can be arranged across multiple wedding locations where required.

• Piece Of Cake Events does not transport children between venues. Parents, guardians or another authorised adult are responsible for transporting children between locations. Your Event Nanny can meet the family at the next agreed location.

• Piece Of Cake Events does not provide catering as part of the Event Nanny service. Event Nannies can assist and supervise children during meals supplied by the venue, caterer or family.

• Full details of allergies and dietary requirements must be provided for every child in our care, even though food is not supplied by Piece Of Cake Events.

• Please provide details of medication requirements, medical conditions, disabilities, additional support needs, sensory requirements and any specific care instructions when completing your booking form.

• Parents, guardians or the nominated responsible adult will be contacted if a child becomes unwell or requires parental assistance.

• Final staffing is determined after reviewing the ages and individual needs of the children included in your booking.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

CAN CHILDREN ATTEND THE WEDDING CEREMONY?

Absolutely. Our Event Nannies can provide discreet supervision during the ceremony and support Flower Girls, Ring Bearers and other little members of the wedding party while allowing them to remain part of the celebration.

CAN CHILDCARE BEGIN DURING WEDDING PREPARATIONS?

Yes. Your Event Nanny can provide care while the wedding party is getting ready, assist children with dressing and photographs, and continue care through the ceremony and reception.

CAN CHILDCARE TAKE PLACE ACROSS MULTIPLE LOCATIONS?

Yes. Childcare can continue across agreed getting-ready, ceremony and reception locations.

Children must be transported between locations by their parent, guardian or another authorised adult. Your Event Nanny can meet the family at the next agreed location.

DO YOU TRANSPORT CHILDREN?

No. Piece Of Cake Events does not transport children as part of our Event Nanny service. Parents, guardians or another authorised adult remain responsible for transporting children between locations.

DO YOU PROVIDE FOOD FOR THE CHILDREN?

No. We do not provide catering as part of this service.

Your Event Nanny can assist and supervise children during meals supplied by your venue, caterer or family.

All allergies and dietary requirements must still be disclosed when booking.

CAN YOU CARE FOR BABIES AND TODDLERS?

Yes. Your booking form collects information about feeding, nappies or toileting, sleep routines and other relevant care requirements.

Staffing will be determined according to the ages and individual needs of the children attending.

CAN YOU ASSIST WITH NAPS OR BEDTIME?

Yes, where an appropriate and safe sleep environment is available.

Please provide the child’s usual sleep or bedtime routine when completing your booking information.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CHILD BECOMES UNWELL?

The child’s parent, guardian or nominated responsible adult will be contacted. Our Event Nanny will continue to provide appropriate supervision while following the care information supplied with your booking.

CAN WE ADD ACTIVITIES FOR THE CHILDREN?

Yes.

HOW MUCH IS TRAVEL?

Event Nanny travel is calculated from Breakfast Point, Sydney.

Sydney Metro travel starts from $100, Extended Sydney from $150 and Destination Weddings / Regional NSW from $200.

The final travel charge depends on the wedding location, travel time, distance, staffing requirements and whether care is required across multiple locations. Parking and tolls are additional where applicable.

HOW TO BOOK

1. Select the Wedding Childcare Package corresponding with the total number of children requiring care.

2. Complete the Event Nanny booking form, including the exact ages of the children and all relevant care information.

3. Enter your wedding date, venue and event details during checkout.

4. Complete checkout to submit your booking.

5. We review your childcare requirements and confirm the appropriate Event Nanny staffing.

6. Any applicable additional staffing, travel, parking, tolls or after-hours costs will be confirmed before finalisation.
