Fiona is the founder of Piece Of Cake Events — a community-focused event coordinator, parent of four girls, and someone who has spent more than a decade turning ideas into meaningful celebrations.
What began as organising large-scale birthdays for her own children grew into a genuine passion for planning, styling and creating experiences that bring people together.
Over time, that evolved into supporting schools, sports clubs and local families with event logistics, celebration day setups, fundraising ideas and creative installations — often volunteering her time to help lighten the load on busy parents and teachers.
Today, Fiona works closely with schools, P&C committees, small businesses and community groups to create events that feel warm, thoughtful and beautifully executed. She understands the realities and pressures schools face — from sourcing trusted vendors to running fundraisers, managing tight timelines, securing reliable suppliers, organising presentation day props, or coordinating Kindy orientation events.
Equally, she understands the challenges small businesses face when launching, setting up displays, managing PR, creating community partnerships or trying to reach schools and families in an authentic way.
Fiona’s approach is never “one size fits all.”
She listens deeply, plans meticulously, and ensures every detail is handled with care so the experience feels calm, organised and genuinely enjoyable for everyone involved.
Piece Of Cake Events exists to make celebrations meaningful and stress-free — while also strengthening the connections between families, schools, clubs and the small businesses that support them.
Together, we’re creating opportunities, building networks and supporting the next generation — one event at a time.
